Ah Paris, the City of Enlightenment.  Earlier this year we ran a short-term promotion for our VIP Airport Meet and Greet Concierge services at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.  The response was astounding!  So many of you were were eager to set up our exclusive airport concierge services for yourself or your VIP clients that we have decided to extend the Paris promotion through the end of 2016!

Must see Paris Sights

With so much to see in Paris, it’s hard to decide what to do first.  You’ll definitely want to spend a day shopping, dining, and people watching along the infamous Champs-Elysées. Don’t forget to visit the Arc de Triomphe, which stands at the center of Place de l’Étoile, proudly showcasing its arches which bear the engraved names of the generals who fought for France. It also boasts one of the best views of the city.  For about €8, you can access the tunnels that leads to the monument and climb the mere 40 stairs to the top.  If you’re traveling this summer, consider planning your trip to the Arc de Triomphe on Bastille Day, July 14th.

A stop at the impressive medieval gothic chapel, Sainte-Chapelle, originally built to house Christian relics, including Christ’s thorns, will leave you breathless with awe. The stunning stained glass windows, which depicts scenes from the old and new testament representing 1,130 figures from the bible, took just 7 years to complete.

Don’t miss the Palais Garnier, the world renown Paris Opera House. Built in 1861, it was originally called the Salle des Capucines due to its location on the Boulevard des Capucines in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.  It became later known as the “Palais Garnier” in honor of its founder and architect, Charles Garnier.  In the late 1890’s an audience member was killed when the staggering weight of a 7 ton bronze and crystal chandelier crashed through the ceiling onto the guests below.

The Eiffel Tower

Of course, you can’t leave Paris without a selfie – ahem – a visit to the Eiffel Tower.  In its early days, the Eiffel Tower was frowned upon by many Parisian intellects and artists who felt that “it was a ridiculous tower that overlooked Paris like a chimney”.  Today, it is one of the most famous icons in Paris and one of the most visited monuments in the world. Be sure to purchase your ticket in advance to avoid wasting time in the long lines.
